Powersoccer is an exciting and competitive sport played by individuals
with many different types of disabilities. The sport has been played for
over ten years and is being played in Canada, the USA, Japan and Europe.
Teams consisting of four players per team use their power chairs to
propel an over-sized inflated rubber ball across the end line of a
regulation size basketball court. The opposing team tries to prevent
this attempt, regain possession of the ball and score at the opposite
end of the court.
Powersoccer is open to anyone who uses an electric wheelchair for
mobility and operates the chair safely. Email Doug DuRussel today to express
your interest in participating of Michigan Sports Unlimited's Power
Soccer Team.
